Getting help from the AFA-CWA Disaster Relief Fund
We know that disasters can change lives forever. While we can't stop destructive events from happening, we can, as a Union, assist our members with their recovery. AFA established the disaster relief fund after September 11th to assist our members whose lives were placed in harms way.
AFA members whose primary residence is in a presidentially declared disaster area and who have suffered damage and/or dislocation as a result, are eligible for $200.00 from the AFA Disaster Relief Fund. It is a gift made possible by the generosity of your fellow union sisters and brothers. Upon receipt of a request, AFA funds will be distributed by order of eligible application until funds are exhausted.
Below is the application for the AFA Disaster Relief Fund. If you have any questions about how to apply for this fund, please call the AFA International EAP office at 1-800-424-2406 or email Heather Healy at HHealy@afanet.org. This application can be faxed to 202-434-1411. A completed application can also scanned and sent by email to Heather Healy at the above email address. If you don’t have a scanner, send an email to Heather Healy with all of the information requested on this form.
