CWA - Communications Workers of America. CWA, America's largest communications and media union, representing over 700,000 men and women in both private and public sectors, including the 46,000 flight attendants of AFA-CWA.

AFL-CIO - The principal website of the AFL-CIO (American Federation of Labor and Congress of Industrial Organizations) is www.aflcio.org. Through this website, the AFL-CIO communicates with working families everywhere and seeks to fulfill the mission and goals of the AFL-CIO.

TTD - Transportation Trades Dept. TTD, founded in April 1990, is an umbrella organization of the American Federation of Labor and Congress of Industrial Organizations (AFL-CIO).  TTD represents the interests of several million aviation, rail, transit, trucking, highway and longshore workers before Congress, the Executive Branch and independent government agencies.  Through TTD, the working men and women who are represented by the Department's 35 affiliated unions have a strong, united voice in Washington, D.C.

TWU- Transport Workers Union. TWU represents nearly 100,000 workers in the nation's transportation industries, including 50,000 workers in the airline industry in virtually all Class and Crafts. TWU today maintains contracts for its members working at the following airlines: American, TWA Northwest, Continental, Simmons, United, Southwest, Flagship, Executive Air, Wings West, UFS Inc., AMR Services, Dynair, Ogden Allied, Johnson Controls, Aloha, Hawaiian, Horizon and Alaska Air.

CLUW.org - The Coalition of Labor Union Women is America's only national organization for union women. Formed in 1974, CLUW is a nonpartisan organization within the union movement. The primary mission of CLUW is to unify all union women in a viable organization to determine our common problems and concerns and to develop action programs within the framework of our unions to deal effectively with our objectives.

IFPTE.org - International Federation of Professional and Technical Engineers

ALPA - Air Line Pilots Association. ALPA is the world’s largest pilot union, representing 64,000 pilots at 41 airlines in the United States and Canada.

IAM- Intl. Association of Machinists & Aerospace Workers. The IAM is among the largest industrial trade unions in North America, representing 45,000 auto mechanics, technicians and support personnel among nearly 650,000 active and retired workers in dozens of industries.

SEIU - The 1.8 million-member Service Employees International Union (SEIU) is the nation's largest and fastest growing union, and its membership is among the most diverse in the labor movement.

Newspaper Guild - Founded as a print journalists' union, the Guild today is primarily a media union whose members are diverse in their occupations, but who share the view that the best working conditions are achieved by people who have a say in their workplace. The Guild has more than 34,000 members in the United States, Canada and in Puerto Rico.

Teamsters - The Teamsters represent 1.4 million working men and women in virtually every occupation throughout the United States and Canada.

Center for Labor Education & Research - The Center for Labor Education and Research at the University of Alabama at Birmingham provides university-level training for workers.

FAA's SAFETY HOTLINE (1-800-255-1111)  Provides nationwide, toll-free telephone service. It is intended primarily for those in the aviation industry having specific knowledge of alleged violations of the Federal Aviation Regulations. The identities of callers are held in confidence, protected from disclosure under the provisions of the Freedom of Information Act. Both hotlines operate from 8am to 4pm Eastern time, Monday through Friday, except holidays.

In the Washington, D.C., area, the Safety Hotline number is 267-8590.
