United Airlines Flight Attendants Continue Official Strike Preparations

CHAOS™ Strike Coordinator Walkabout & Eat-In, Friday, June 8, O'Hare Airport, Terminal C, 12:15-1:15 p.m.

CHICAGO — United Airlines flight attendants, represented by the Association of Flight Attendants, AFL-CIO, are continuing their official strike preparations as the union's CHAOS™ Strike Coordinators, from bases around the world, are meeting in Chicago.

The group of more than 30 flight attendants, clad in CHAOS green, will be holding a walkabout and "eat-in" on Friday, June 8 at O'Hare Airport, terminal C from 12:15 until 1:15 p.m.

United representatives have maintained that they are pushing ahead with the merger with US Airways even though management has failed to secure a waiver to job security language in the flight attendant contract. Proceeding with the merger without first securing a waiver would be illegal and the flight attendants will respond with CHAOS™ strike actions.

The 26,000 United Airlines flight attendants are joined together in AFA, the world's largest flight attendant union. Visit us at http://www.unitedafa.org/.
